Detailed Information

The Wentworth of Las Vegas Las Vegas NV

The Wentworth of Las Vegas is a senior living community offering assisted living, independent living, and Alzheimer's care programs for older adults. Located in Clark County, people come from throughout the vicinity to receive long-term care at the Wentworth of Las Vegas, thanks to their compassionate staff, spacious senior housing apartments, and their unique approach to person-centered care.

Community-based living is a new adventure for everyone that moves to the Wentworth of Las Vegas, and their staff aim to make the transition as easy as possible. The staff work with each person to understand their dynamic personality and treat their individual needs with person-centered care. As Wentworth resident, a person may receive the following assisted living services:

  • Personal care services, like assistance with their daily activities
  • Continence management
  • Medication management
  • Laundry
  • Housekeeping

As a community-based living facility, the Wentworth of Las Vegas' exceptional care services do not include skilled nursing care. The community is not licensed to provide ongoing skilled nursing care, however local physicians often visit the community to provide basic health care services on-site.

In addition to the Wentworth's full-spectrum assisted living services, they offer memory care services for people living with Alzheimer's disease. A typical assisted living community may be challenging for people living with Alzheimer's disease who may require additional care to feel comfortable in a senior living community. Each incoming resident works with a care advisor to discuss their needs, and the care advisor can determine if Alzheimer's care is a suitable option for applicants with memory loss and dementia.

In the memory care community, residents receive care similar to assisted living services. The staff help with their daily activities (eating, bathing, dressing, etc.), treating them with patience and empathy throughout the process. Their primary goal is to help each resident feel safe and at-home while they're living in the memory care community, away from their families.

Assisted living, independent living, and Alzheimer's and dementia care are the Wentworth's primary senior care services, however short-term services (including temporary respite care and adult day care) are available in addition to their long-term care programs. The respite care program and adult day care are ideal for older adults living in Las Vegas who need a substitute caregiver while their families are away. Respite care residents are welcome to the same amenities as long-term residents, including restaurant-style meals in the dining room and social activities in the common areas.

With a wide variety of personal care services and an outstanding Alzheimer's and dementia care program, the Wentworth of Las Vegas is one of Clark County's most highly-rated senior care facilities. Their exceptional care programs are extensive, making them a popular choice for senior housing among older adults living in Las Vegas. To learn more about the facility, schedule a tour to see it in-person. The staff are happy to answer questions about the assisted living community, its amenities, and its on-site social activities.

We have 32 review(s) for this provider.

Yvonne at 17 Nov 2018:
The Wenworth is good for people like my mom. It keeps her occupied and busy and has her make friends and that is good. The caregivers seem very nice. In regards to the dining, my mom says that it is fine. She doesn't seem to mind the variety. She likes the servers a lot.

Yon at 17 Nov 2018:
I would say it is a good value because Mom is getting 24 hour care. She hasn't complained about the food and I know she eats. With her in memory care this is pretty good. They try to get the residents involved that want to. The residents that are participating in the activities that I see they are smiling and laughing and seem to be having a good time. I think everything is pretty clean. They do a good job with the laundry as well. I like the staff very much they try to build relationships with the residents in there. All in all, I am pretty satisfied.

Roger at 07 Nov 2018:
My dad moved into this community because I liked the staff that I met, it seems very clean, I thought my father would be comfortable there and I like the services provided. Management was very forward and I like that there are different options to choose from in the dining room every day. The other day they had a concert going on in the lobby and that was fantastic. The quality of the performer was very high and the residents seemed to enjoy it. They have the schedule posted all over every day. This community is very clean and well maintained. Maintenance came in and set up his TV and that was very helpful. The transportation at this community is wonderful and the caregivers I have interacted with have been wonderful.

Julie at 05 Nov 2018:
I think we get a good value here for mom. She is a studio there and it is okay for her needs. The front desk ladies are always very helpful and friendly when I go in. Mom does the bingo there every day and the exercises and she loves them. The care staff does very well at being attentive with her when she needs something. In terms of maintenance, they keep it up good for her. So far so good. I don’t have any complaints and neither does she.

Beverly at 05 Nov 2018:
The management is very helpful, knowledgeable, and always there if I need something. Their doors are literally open. Brittany and Jordan are very nice young ladies to work with. The food is excellent. I even met with the chef one day to tell him and he was beaming with pride. The laundry service is good and the housekeeping is fine. It looks like a hotel when you walk in, it doesn’t look like an assisted living community. Whenever I have needed anyone in the care department there is always someone there.

Howard at 19 Oct 2018:
My dad settled in there because we liked the location, there's a lot of helpful things around the community, so I felt it was in a good area. It's been so helpful, it's like God sent me to the Wentworth. Management and sales have an open-door policy so if I am walking by and have a question, they will take time out to answer me. They're very good at directing and leading. The nurses, aides, and Med Techs are right there as soon as I come in. They let me know what was happening with my dad. Maintenance is pretty good, and dad's satisfied with his apartment cleaning and laundry. They had plenty of options for apartments, and dad is happy with the one he chose, I know he's safe and comfortable in it. We like the activities. Even today dad was right out there in the activities and it looked like everyone enjoyed it. When we moved in they showed me the monthly activities calendar. I think dad's used the transportation once, and it was easy to set up, the car was safe. From what I can see and what I can smell the food there is very good. I think we're getting a great value for our money, and I have faith in Wentworth, I do.

Alicia at 19 Oct 2018:
We moved my mom in becuase I think the value is good and it is closer to my home. I think the food is great here. My mom is eating more than she did when she was with me. They are very balanced meals so that is good and the staff is very nice. The care staff are very nice and seem very concerned about my mother. We are both very happy with her being here.

Mabel at 15 Oct 2018:
My client moved into this community because of the price and the level of service offered. Management has been easy to work with and this community offers a wide variety of activities. There is something that appeals to everyone. Everyone is attentive to what needs to be done. I have seen caregivers pick something up if they see it on the floor.

Betty at 09 Oct 2018:
I actually got the name off the Nevada Aging and Disability Services Division and my mom and I liked the location and that there is a memory care unit there for her when she may need it in the future. I'm satisfied with the respectfulness and responsiveness of the caregivers, and the managers have also been pretty accommodating. I think they have quite a bit of activities going on there. My mother seems to like the food and the dining room servers seem pretty friendly. The room is great, she's comfy and safe, so the value is good. I already have recommended it and we're just trying to convince them to move in now.

Esther at 25 Sep 2018:
I would recommend this community to anybody. I am very happy with the management team. The residents look like they are being fed well. The food looks fine. The staff try to keep my wife busy and the residents all get good attention. Housekeeping and the maintenance of the building are very good. My wife is being well taken care of. On two occassions, she had chest pain and the caregivers got her to the hospital and back. The caregivers are doing a great job.

William at 25 Sep 2018:
Dad has been there for about three years now. The environment is nice, the people are nice, and they take an interest in my cousin. The activities and housekeeping are fine, and I'm happy with maintenance. The day aides are wonderful and good at communicating with me. When I was out there I gave my cousin the option to move closer to me. He was happy there and didn't want to leave. I think it's a very nice place.

Larry at 11 Sep 2018:
I moved into The Wentworth because I know the area, but I think it's a very beautiful place. The food, housekeeping and activities are all very good and they do all of my laundry. The caregivers seem like cordial, helpful people and the grounds are very nice so I have been satisfied with the healthcare and maintenance services thus far. Overall, I love it here and wouldn't leave.

Sueichi at 11 Sep 2018:
We chose it because he liked the food and they were nice and friendly. He loves the food from the dining department and is happy with the housekeeping services. The care staff have all been very friendly and are pretty responsive to his needs. All in all, my uncle is very happy at the Wentworth.

Janice at 06 Sep 2018:
My grandma moved into the Wentworth in February of 2017. The caregivers are doing a really good job and they really care about my grandma. The building looks good. It's great, it's renovated, it's clean, and new. I would recommend it, I have already.

J at 27 Aug 2018:
Wentworth has gone above and beyond with trying to do the best job that they can. When you look at the whole picture, it's an excellent company and my mom says that they have so nice there. They just love their apartment, it's terrific. They're really happy with the food there and the service is nice and friendly. The activities do pretty well, there is a new lady there and I think she is doing great. They go on the bus outings and thos ehave been great. I think it's so good of them to get my parents out and about. My parents are happy there and they just love their place.

Norma at 22 Aug 2018:
The staff is amazing and incredible. I have seen a lot more activities recently and I know they hired a new person. My mother doesn't participate, but they definitely try. Maintenance is excellent. Anytime I have a problem, Marcus is up there and ready to help before I even get back to the room, so it's great. The healthcare staff go above and beyond, they're absolutely awesome. A lot of times my mother doesn't want to eat, so they will put her food aside and when she wakes up, they get right to it so they're all great.

Shirley at 22 Aug 2018:
It has been about 8 months since I moved my Mom in and they just changed the dining hours so now breakfast is in the morning like normal, but you can come in whenever you want between 12 and 6PM, which has been great for my mom. There is always stuff on the board for them to do for the whole day. The building is a lot better than some places I have seen. The ladies that I see they are always greeting me and the place seems clean. Although we have had a few issues, I would recommend the Wentworth.

Mary at 13 Aug 2018:
They seem to be on top things around there. The building looks to be in good shape. "They seem to be really on top of things and they keep me informed."

Gladys at 07 Aug 2018:
Management is very friendly, nice, and helpful. Housekeeping good and maintenance has been very helpful. The caregivers are very good and very nice. We haven't had any complaints so far. I would say everything is fine.

Barbara at 19 Jul 2018:
My mother doesn’t use that much care, maybe a few meds, being escorted. She doesn’t have a lot of needs. If I ever have a concern I just call the concierge, and they're very responsive. Overall, I think it's worth it. The activities are good, but my mom doesn’t participate, but that's her choice. I think they have an all-around sound program. My mom's on hospice and I appreciate the way they work with all the caregivers who work on my mom's behalf. It's nice to know they're cooperative and understanding.

Greg at 19 Jul 2018:
They have a very good standard of care and have a good ratio of aides to residents. When they talk to my father-in-law they demonstrate a clear level of personal interactions with him. He has used the transportation a couple times to get to the VA appointment. That's been nice to have that option because that's one less way my wife has to transport him. I'd unequivocally rate housekeeping perfect. They are exceptional. Again, that's another real positive mark for them compared to what we were accustomed to. Every day we go in his bed his been made, he is dressed so nicely, you can tell they've recently mopped the floors, and it smells clean. They really stay on top of that, which we appreciate.

Judith at 12 Jul 2018:
They were the only community who would take an insulin-dependent Diabetic with Alzheimer's. It was highly recommended. My mom seems to be doing fine with the food in the Memory Care unit. They go at least once a week on a trip that I know of, which has been good for her. For the most part the care staff seems to be pretty good. It seems like there is a lot of people working, they're always available.

Virginia at 22 Jun 2018:
Everything seems to be running really nicely. The healthcare staff always seems to be very responsive to her needs. Everything seems to be kept up around the community. The activities are good, but a lot of time my mom won’t do them anyway. She's in Memory Care and has Dementia so she won’t join in, but I've seen them going on, the staff getting residents involved. It seems good there.

John at 07 Jun 2018:
For what I saw at other facilities, I think it's nice, clean and safe. My dad doesn't complain about the food any more, he seems much happier and thinks the chef does a good job. There are no complaints about maintenance, if you need something, they're right on it. Overall, he seems to be happy there.

Mary at 02 Jun 2018:
The care staff is very good with my mother. She's very happy there. I think my mother is happy with the food there. She is very satisfied. The dining staff is very accommodating when they serve them, and they are very attentive. There hasn't really been a need for any maintenance work, but I was really pleased when they moved her from Assisted Living to the Memory Care they moved everything and set it all up. Her room is very nice. It is clean, and everything looks very nice. They do very well. She likes it there and she's happy

Lula at 10 May 2018:
She really likes it. I am so happy my mom is able to be in this place. It's really beautiful. The managers listen and they follow through. She loves being in Memory Care and she can go out and join Assisted Living for things like activities. The facility is so clean, and it smells nice. It has a homey feel and the residents really like it here. I'm happier than I've been in a lot of years.

Barbara at 09 May 2018:
It's competitive with other places here in Las Vegas. It's towards the high side, but for what they offer it's a good value. I believe most departments are doing an excellent job and the building is in great condition. My mom likes the food and there are always a plethora of activities for her to do. The management and care staff is top notch, they've been very receptive to any criticism, comments or problems that we had.

Antonette at 29 Apr 2018:
I have recommended it to other people if they don't need as much care as my mom. I would stay there. The care staff is wonderful. The maintenance staff is wonderful as well, if there is something wrong, they fix it right away. The management staff is accessible and the activities are wonderful.

Rose at 09 Apr 2018:
In terms of patient care and support from the staff, I would highly recommend it. The caregivers are excellent. Aesthetically, it looked great. It's very warm and welcoming. The staff really does try and they're really engaging. They try very hard to get the residents to eat when they don't feel like eating.

Mary at 28 Mar 2018:
I think the management is good. The activities staff are doing well especially because the residents have memory issues and it is so hard to get people to participate in anything but they do a good job doing that. The food always looks nice and it smells really good. The caregivers and housekeepers seem to be doing a good job. This facility does a very good job at making the facility fit with the residents.

Madelaine at 26 Mar 2018:
There is a new management team. Heather is very good. Everyone is very nice. They bring in great entertainment. Everybody gets excited about the singing and dancing. They're all very nice people.

Alice at 15 Mar 2018:
I went in for a tour and the residents were up, not sitting in the rooms, just sitting there. It just seemed like there was a lot for them to interact with. I know there are people watching my mom and making sure she's safe so I feel comfortable. Overall I feel like she's in a safe place. Things are going really well so I'm pleased. The whole feeling of the place is very bright, not dark, so it was the overall atmosphere and how the residents looked. All of the caregivers have been very pleasant and helpful.
