Detailed Information

Caliche Senior Living Casa Grande AZ

Caliche Senior Living is an assisted living, independent living, and memory care community in Casa Grande, Arizona. The community offers a wide variety of supportive services, including:

  • Assistance with each resident's activities of daily living

  • Medication management

  • Continence care services

  • Housekeeping

  • Laundry

  • Linen services

The community's senior housing options are extensive, including one and two-bedroom floor plans. Each apartment is spacious and tastefully decorated, offering:

  • Private bathrooms

  • Kitchenettes

  • Walk-in closets

Caliche's senior housing has won design awards in the past, thanks to their convenient layouts and comfortable feel. The average cost of an apartment and care services at Caliche varies by floor plan, but is comparable to the cost of assisted living at other retirement communities in the vicinity. To determine the final cost of assisted living, incoming residents must speak with a care advisor to discuss their care needs.

As a resident of the Caliche senior living community, older adults are welcome to facility’s on-site amenities. The community dining room serves nutritious meals multiple times per day, giving residents a chance to enjoy an ever-changing menu and create real connections with their peers. Caliche's social activities are another opportunity for residents to bond with others, offering arts and crafts sessions, game nights, and free classes for them to enjoy.

Caliche's caregivers and staff put forth a tireless effort to provide each resident with outstanding, compassionate care during their stay at the senior living community. In addition to caregiver and staff support, Caliche sponsors support groups for resident participation. Residents can join the facility's support groups to meet others they can relate to, giving them an opportunity to create real connections with like-minded individuals.

Like many retirement communities in Arizona, Caliche is limited in what services they may offer. The assisted living facility is licensed to provide community-based care, and does not offer skilled nursing services. Unlike nursing homes, which are equipped to provide health care services, Caliche focuses on improving each resident's quality of life through personal care. However, physicians visit the community regularly to provide basic health care services on-site, as needed. Because Caliche does not offer skilled nursing care, incoming residents should check with their health care providers about coverage. Many do not cover community-based care at an assisted living facility, but they may help with additional services outside of the community's room and board fees.

To learn more about Caliche's independent living, assisted living, or memory care programs, prospective residents can tour the facility. By seeing the facility in-person, incoming residents can learn the difference between community-based care and nursing homes, and they can compare Caliche to other senior living communities in the vicinity. Guests can meet the community's caregivers and staff during their tour and ask about the average cost of assisted living. Each guest is welcome to enjoy a complimentary meal in the community's dining room during their tour, and they may see the outdoor courtyards to get a better understanding of life at Caliche Senior Living.

The management has been so helpful to me as I moved my sister in. I liked the community because it was close to my house and it was a beautiful community and the staff was nice. The place is always clean and the maintenance department is quick to help when needed. I feel like I have an angel helping me in providing the care for my sister.

Bonnie at 14 Nov 2018:
I knew about Caliche and I knew that they had a MC unit, which is important. When I worked with Pam a year ago, I liked the place and everyone seemed very friendly, professional and caring. Lisa the nurse has been wonderful, the healthcare staff has been excellent. It looks very neat, tidy and clean, it's an excellent value.

Freda at 14 Nov 2018:
It's a new facility, it's well maintained and the staff is very good. I've been dealing with Pam Cox, from management, and she's great. My mother has no complaints about the food and it appears to be good. There were a few issues when we moved in but maintenance took care of it right away, everything appears to be in good shape. I've only dealt with two of the nurses so far and they've been excellent. It's an excellent value.

Lennard at 14 Nov 2018:
My husband had been to the community to visit before and we thought it looked adequate for my brother. He has been very satisfied with the food and the housekeeping is very good. The healthcare staff are very good and everything looks very nice. I know he has been very satisfied with the food and he is very picky.

Lorraine at 14 Nov 2018:
My grandmother moved into this community because of the price and the location. It is closer to me which is convenient. Everyone has been very friendly and very helpful. My grandmother doesn't go down to the dining hall very much. She gets food brought to her room. The staff come up and takes her order and brings it up. My grandmother enjoys the live music. They have several calendars throughout the community. They have them in the elevators and hanging on the walls. They even have one that plays on the TV. It is very convenient. Housekeeping comes in every day to take her trash and once a week to vacuum her apartment. They are helping her with her laundry too. It is a very beautiful property and the caregivers are excellent.

Yolanda at 12 Nov 2018:
"good communicating, responsiveness from staff, great resident assistance from staff, everyone pitches in for all depts. and it is clean"

Michael at 12 Nov 2018:
"good place to work, comfortable and good work environment"

Jim at 12 Nov 2018:
I think the price is fair at this community. The food is usually pretty good and the servers in the dining room are excellent. The place always seems to be clean and Lisa, the nurse is very nice. I think it is a nice place and they are fairly observant.

Ronald at 08 Nov 2018:
I think the services are pretty good. If you need anything from maintenance, he is Johnny on the spot there for you. I am satisfied with the management and activities provided as well. The staff are very friendly and concerned about the clients.

Lieselotte at 02 Nov 2018:
Given all of the care facilities my mom has been to over the past eight years, this is by far the best. Everybody there has been super nice and helpful and the food is actually very good. They have a bunch of variety and a lot of activities going on, the calendar looks fantastic. Everything is clean and organized, people are attentive, it's a very well-run facility. I would put it up with a middle of the road hotel like a Hampton or Hilton Gardens or something, everything is nice and in place, every time I go in there, my mom's place is spotless. The healthcare staff takes really good care of my mom, the level of communication with my mom, they have taken time to actually get to know my mom as a person as far as her habits, what she does, what she expects, they socialize with her, it's not just like a nursing staff where they come in to do something. It's almost like a family level of concern for her care.

Carolyn at 22 Oct 2018:
My husband and I are very pleased with it. We are the powers of attorney for my loved one, we love it and she loves it, and we have no desire to move her out. The front of house managers are all very nice, very good people and the caregivers are always available and we know we can go to them with any questions. Transportation is wonderful. They're readily available if my loved one needs to go to the bank or doctor, and they go to Wal-Mart every other week, she just loves that. Every time I go there, if something is wrong, I just tell the front desk and maintenance is right on it. The housekeepers are great. When I go over there it's always clean, bedding is done once a week. I just think it's wonderful. The food and dining is excellent. I've eaten there before and the food was very nice. We're happy with the services we get and it’s a fair price. Everything is wonderful over there.

Mae at 08 Oct 2018:
I feel they are taking good care of mom and help is nearby if she needs it. She has enjoyed the meals she has had there. They offer more activities than she is able to keep up with. She is very pleased with the house cleaning crew. She says they do a good job. She has pushed her call button a couple times since she has been there and they have always been Johnny on the spot to help her.She has been very satisfied.

Charlotte at 11 Sep 2018:
My aunt moved into this community because it was referred by a local doctor, it is close to her home and it is a new community. The management is very helpful. They are problem solvers. My aunt really likes the food. When she first moved in, maintenance installed her TV and it was great. They did it in a timely manner. I was very impressed with them. The care givers are attentive and they seem to solve problems. She came in with a walker that was not very good and they found her a decent one they had on sight. They cleaned it up and let her have it. That was great. I just think it is very good for what it is.

Charles at 11 Sep 2018:
It was newer and I had gone online and looked at reviews of some of their other places and it just had really good reviews. I wanted my dad in a nice place where he was going to be well taken care of. The management staff has been very very helpful and the food looks really good. I'm very satisfied with the care, the people there are very nice. They're just really awesome people. I'm very pleased with everything that's happened, it's been a great experience so far. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat.

Susan at 07 Sep 2018:
My mom stayed at this community for a respite stay. The price was fair enough for me. My mom said the food was very good and the servers in the dining room were excellent. This community seemed to have a lot of activities available which was good. The condition of the building was great, it was new and did not smell. My mom's feedback on this community was all positive.

Alline at 08 Aug 2018:
My sister has lived at Caliche Senior Living since April 2017. I do feel she is safe and comforatable. She recognizes it is her home, and that is important. The health and wellness director, Lisa Thompson, I ask can ask her questions any time I want and I am able to discuss things with her. They hold church services there and that is important to me. They have singers and entertainment, it is good that they do that. They hold parties for them and they dance and she likes to dance. Caliche staff has always been very good with communicating with me. Caliche has been like a well oiled machine. I like the fact that they keep you informed. I also like that you can get a hold of people very well. The main receptionist is very conscientous when she answers the phone, which I appreciate greatly. I don't think I could find a better place.

Jerry at 12 Jul 2018:
The management team is very responsive. He always checks on my father and is attentive. Lisa, the director, is very good. You can talk to her and she tries to take care of things. The food quality is pretty good. Maintenance has been very helpful. One of the guys hung a wall mounted TV for my father; the AC unit went out in his apartment and the maintenance man put in a floor unit until he could get the big one fixed. I have had my issues, but it's a good place.

Dennis at 09 Jul 2018:
My dad toured 2 Assisted Living communities and he seemed to like the Caliche setup and environment the best. He likes it and says the food is great. He likes that the fact that he can choose. In the elevators they have the activities posted on what is happening today and the next day, so just from seeing them I think they have a nice variety and selection. The housekeeping staff comes to take out his trash and clean once a week. The maintenance guys have been great. It's a brand new community and so far, it looks fantastic. I have only dealt with the main Nurse who is amazing, I love her. The staff that administers his meds has been great. He has been happy with everything so far.

Carol at 09 Jul 2018:
Considering all of the service my mom gets; the look of the environment, the nursing service, and that the food is good, I'd have to say that the value is very good. She loves it there. The housekeeping is wonderful. It's always kept nice and clean. They have their menu. My mother has been going and eating, she likes the food. The management of the food service is also very personable. They are nice and easily approachable, things like that. They’ve been very, very helpful in anything we've needed and worked with us in every way. I can tell that they care. I know that they check-in on her often when we're not there. If I need anything at all I can call them and reach them, or even when I go there and it's late there is always someone I can talk to. They also call me when they need to reach me. It's been a great experience.

Lois at 13 Jun 2018:
The cost is a little bit lower than what it was in the Denver area, so the value is good. It seems like everybody is trying and the Executive Director makes time to talk with the residents, he'll have a meeting where they can go and ask him questions and stuff so it seems like they're trying. The maintenance department does a good job helping her with different things. My mom had issues with her TV. Mike and another fellow have been pretty responsive and have helped out a lot. The Activities Director Jay, goes above and beyond and really does a wonderful job there, he really stands out.

Joann at 10 May 2018:
Everyone seems to be so kind and my mom really likes it there. I am very satisfied with the management. They're very kind and things went very smoothly with getting her in. The food looks nice and the housekeeping seems pretty good when I go there. The healthcare staff is doing well and everyone is very friendly.

Stella at 10 May 2018:
It's new and we drove by it every day so I stopped by to see. I needed to put my wife in someplace, so I put her in there. They're all good people. When you come in the door they almost always have a smile on their face. I've eaten in the big dining room, just yesterday, and the food was good. She's getting lots of good food. The caretakers always there to help. Anything she may need, they attend to.

Maria at 10 May 2018:
The staff at Caliche Senior Living is absolutely amazing. Every staff member I've dealt with is top-notch. They all greet you when you come in and know you and the resident by first name, we really appreciate that. Housekeeping is good, always prompt. The care staff is very attentive and prompt on getting there. When you push the call button, they're there in five minutes. That's a very big plus. The most important thing for me is professionalism and respect, and they are all over that. They're that way to everyone. It really shows.

Carol at 07 May 2018:
The lady, Sheree that works at the front desk pretty much sold me on the place before I ever got to the management. It really benefited my grandmother's recovery. It was the best choice for her. It's a beautiful place. There was one housekeeping lady that works 8-4 and she was excellent. She was amazing. She would bring her up a soda. She knew she liked Ellen and she went with her own money and bought an Ellen DVD. From day one, they were accommodating. They knew us by name right away. It was just a great experience there. They sold me within the first 20 minutes there, I was impressed.

C at 22 Mar 2018:
I think the value was good and everybody was very respectful in healthcare. Mike, in maintenance, was wonderful and he came whenever I needed him. The housekeeping would come in and I would have to leave a note if I didn't want them to change my bed, because they would rush right in there and change my bed. So it was very good. The activities were great. I didn’t get as involved as I wanted to; when we first moved in, I went to a couple of crafts, and there were other things I could have done but I didn't. We did go to programs that they had on Friday: the happy hour and the music, and it was wonderful. The food is excellent. It is very well proportioned and never was hungry. Ron, who is the Administrator, bent over backwards to help me when my husband passed away. I loved it and I have told everybody about it. Anybody who needs it, I have recommended Caliche to them.

Bob at 12 Mar 2018:
I wanted Caliche in the beginning when I placed him into another home in July and then I got a call one day when I was on a waiting list. The very week I got the phone call I had him transferred. Ron, in management, was really the only one I dealt with and he did everything great, I had no problems with him at all. My husband hasn't had any complaints about the food so far. I went there and saw him playing pool and he was so into that he didn't even care that I was there. It's just beautiful there. Everything is good.

Bertha at 12 Mar 2018:
It's expensive but on the flip side of that, they're taking care of mother. From what I've seen so far, they keep them out and active and doing activities, which is wonderful. They need that instead of just sitting in their room doing nothing, and every time I'm there they are out sitting. They are doing activities so I think it's been good. I'm really pleased so far with what I've seen. The caregivers are very compassionate. The care they're getting, the security, I definitely would recommend it.

R at 12 Mar 2018:
I will definitely be looking at this facility for myself in the coming years. The front desk is excellent. They are above and beyond what you would expect. My parents seem to be fine with letting the caregivers take care of them. They are getting their appointments moved to Thursdays so they can use the shuttle service. My parents are pretty much home-bodies and don't go out except to meals. They haven't participated in any activities yet. The food is always good and my folks definitely like it. It's fairly similar to other facilities so they're competitive. I'm very pleased with the apartment.

Evelyn at 05 Mar 2018:
My mom fell in January and is currently at another assisted living facility. She is working hard at getting well enough to move back. Ron Ingram, the director, is a sweetheart. They offer a lot of activities. My mother chooses not to participate, but that is not because they do not try to get her involved. Jay does an excellent job in trying to find things for residents to do. Michael Fernandez, in maintenance, is awesome. He is a sweetheart. He is a good guy. If they are shorthanded in the kitchen, you will find him in there helping out. It just seems like a great place.
